What is the temperature of the sauna?
The sauna is heated to 165-185 degrees. Water is added to the hot stones to increase heat and löyly. Seating is tiered with upper and lower benches for temperature adjustment as desired.
What type of sauna is this?
The sauna has a cedar interior and a wood-fired Finnish stove with nearly 500 lbs of stones to produce the perfect mix of heat and steam.
What should I bring?
Wear a swimsuit or light athletic wear. Flip flops, towel and drinking water also useful. Clothing is required. Leave valuables at home. Pro tip: some patrons find metal jewelry can become too hot.

Howling Moon Sauna’s basecamp is at 1741 County Rd 73 in Fraser, just a few miles from Winter Park. We are located at the amazing High Country Stampede Rodeo grounds. Directions here. As a mobile sauna, we may adventure out and locations will be shared on our homepage and Instagram.
What’s a good sauna ritual?
Most customers enjoy 10-20 minutes in the sauna, followed by a break outside in our relaxing seating before cycling back in. Find what works for you! You are welcome to bring a picnic and beverages to enjoy at the picnic table.
How should I prepare for a session?
Know your comfort-level with heat and consult a physician if necessary. Monitor your hydration and remember that Howling Moon Sauna is located at 8,500 ft requiring awareness of altitude-related effects.

Howling Moon Sauna is an off-grid sauna with a spa-like vibe. Our lighting runs on solar. The facility offers:

What is the cancellation policy?
Single sessions have a 2 hour cancellation policy. Group Private rentals have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
What ages are Allowed?
Children 14 and older are allowed with a parent present and waiver signed.
